5 tips for unlocking a brand on Amazon through a distributor

There are various restrictions on Amazon regarding, among other things, foreign brands. As a result, companies that want to connect to listings previously created by other sellers should check if they can start selling without any permissions. Restrictions regarding the brand of the product can vary, and you will only learn about their details when trying to connect to an offer from a foreign brand. Products not requiring approval for sale
Some products do not require any approval for sale, so you can connect to existing listings without any additional steps. Once you set up your seller account, search for them on the list and add them to your account by selecting the option Catalogue - Add products - To start adding products, find your products in the Amazon catalogue.
Products requiring a request for approval
For products that require a request for approval to sell, simply select the Request approval option and then provide your price and quantity.
Submission of proof confirming the original source of the product
-Another type of restriction requires submitting to Amazon an invoice that serves as proof that the products are original. To be accepted, the invoice cannot be older than 6 months from the day you send it to Amazon. Another condition is the quantity of the product on the invoice, which should be greater than or equal to 10 pieces. For more well-known brands, the platform may require confirmation that your chosen supplier listed on the invoice is officially associated with the brand. To do this, you need to ask them for a letter of authorisation from the manufacturer.
Letter of authorisation from the manufacturer
For some brands, Amazon may require a letter of authorisation issued directly by the manufacturer for you as the distributor. Below we provide the information required by the platform that must be included in this document:
Brand name
Name of the authorised brand owner on Amazon
Full name of the brand owner
Amazon account name associated with the brand
Token number.

Products under stricter control
For products under very strict sales control on Amazon, you may be required to have Transparency codes. The Amazon Transparency Program is a service provided internally by this platform for its customers. For products participating in this program, you are required to label your assortment with unique codes, which you can obtain directly from the manufacturer. Products without these codes are not accepted in FBA warehouses, and their shipment in FBM mode is prohibited.
