Amazon in Poland as early as 2020

19 Feb 2020

Yesterday, 18th February, media reports confirmed that Amazon will launch in Poland as a full-fledged e-commerce platform.

Until now, only Amazon FBA warehouses have operated in our country, primarily serving customers from Germany.

According to information obtained by Gazeta Wyborcza and Business Insider, Poczta Polska has passed quality tests from Amazon and may become the main carrier in Poland. Additionally, it has been known for some time that InPost is in talks with Amazon regarding shipment handling through its network of parcel lockers.

If we add to this the fact that in recent weeks Amazon training sessions have been held in Polish and increased contact from Vendor Managers, it can be confidently stated that the company is preparing for the full launch of sales on Amazon.pl – and not just redirecting traffic to Amazon.de.

The most likely start date is Q3 or Q4 2020.

Amazon Poland 2020! Well done you! Entrepreneurs, don’t wait for Q3 – act now to be ready for #AmazonPL2020.
