Instead of disposal - donation for charitable purposes in the UK from 15th September 2019

FBA Donations program

From 15th September 2019, Amazon will automatically provide the option to donate sellers' inventory from the United Kingdom to selected charities in the United Kingdom. Previous options for removing inventory from FBA warehouses only allowed for their disposal or return. From mid-September, there will also be the option to donate them to charities. This option will be available for both manual and automatic removal of inventory.

Tax reliefs can be claimed in relation to such disposal of inventory, however, the regulations of the respective country come into play, and Amazon does not specify these at this time.

For now, this programme will only be available in the United Kingdom.
