New indicator “Customer Product Reviews Policy Violations” in Seller Central
In the Seller Central account, a new indicator has been added in the Performance section: Customer Product Reviews Policy Violations.
It monitors and reports discrepancies in product reviews submitted by customers that violate Amazon's guidelines. In April 2018, Amazon removed millions of reviews from sources that were inconsistent with the platform's policy. The new indicator is a continuation of the Customer Experience policy, which aims to ensure reliable product information and the best possible shopping experiences.
Amazon has a Zero tolerance policy towards manipulating or obtaining product reviews in prohibited ways. Each indicator in the Product Policy Compliance section has a target of zero – this means that even one complaint can lead to sales restrictions, and in extreme cases, total account suspension.
