Prime Day – information and promotion rules
In 2018, more than 100 million products were sold during Prime Day. The event in 2019 will take place in mid-July, although the exact date has not yet been announced.

The offer acceptance window will be open from 1 April to 17 May. During this time, Amazon will present a list of qualifying products along with the proposed purchase price for Prime Day to Vendor partners – sellers will need to analyse and approve these proposals.

Requirements and rules for Prime Day promotions

  • The product price must be 20% lower than the current retail price on Amazon.

  • It must be at least 5% lower than the lowest selling price in the last 28 days.

  • The price should be the lowest since 1 January 2019.

  • Only one Lightning Deal is available for each product.

  • The product must have at least 5 reviews with an average rating of at least 3 stars.

  • The fee for an approved Prime Deal is EUR 70.

  • Approval of the offer does not guarantee its display during Prime Day – the final decision is made by Amazon's algorithm, based on the potential and quality of the offer.

To start the Prime Day process, log in to your Vendor account and go to the Merchandising tab, then navigate to Marketing Recommendations.
