Amazon has recently announced several changes that may affect the daily work of sellers. Some of them concern the convenience of account management, some concern logistics, and one — the method of calculating commission in cross-border sales.
These are not changes that turn selling upside down. However, it is worth knowing them because they can help reduce costs, react more quickly to tasks in Seller Central, and better plan order fulfillment across different channels.

Cheaper MCF? Amazon gives sellers a reason to look more broadly at logistics
From 25 June 2026, Amazon is launching two discount programmes for sellers using Multi-Channel Fulfillment. This is good news for brands that sell not only through Amazon but also through their own online store, eBay, TikTok Shop, or social commerce channels.
MCF allows you to leverage Amazon's logistics to handle external orders. In practice, this means that a brand can sell in different places but use a single order fulfillment backend. Now, under certain conditions, MCF fees can be up to 20% lower.
The first programme is aimed at new FBA users in Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. A professional seller who joins FBA for the first time between 25 June 2026 and 24 June 2027 can receive a discount on the first 100 MCF units shipped within 12 months. The condition is to deliver eligible products to the fulfillment network within 90 days of listing the first ASIN available for purchase.
The second programme, the Preferred Pricing Program, covers the first 5,000 MCF units shipped within 6 months. Eligible to benefit are, among others, sellers who start using the MCF API integration, exceed 100 MCF shipments after entering the programme for new sellers, or have a high FBA volume but have rarely used MCF so far.
Amazon is clearly encouraging sellers to treat its logistics not just as an order fulfillment tool for Amazon, but as a broader tool for multi-channel sales. For brands growing D2C or their presence on several marketplaces, this might be a good time to test MCF with a lower cost of entry.

Seller Central after changes: less searching, more action
Amazon has refreshed the look of Seller Central. This is not a change that affects data, settings, or listings. It is about something more everyday: how sellers navigate the panel and manage their business.
The new structure of Seller Central has been divided into workspaces. This is intended to make the most important tasks easier to find and the panel to better respond to the workflow.
The new layout includes, among others:
My Business - a quick overview of sales, inventory, orders, and account health
Products - management of the catalogue, listings, and customer enquiries
Supply Chain - visibility of inventory, shipments, and warehouse utilization
Orders - order fulfillment, returns, and post-purchase customer service
Finance - revenue, payments, and business economics
Customers - alerts, policy violations, and compliance signals
Marketing - promotions, advertising campaigns, and discounts
Another big change is the Action Center. This is a place that shows the most urgent tasks regardless of which part of the panel the seller is currently in.
For brands with a large number of products, campaigns, and logistical processes, such a change can be of great importance. The new look means less clicking through tabs and faster access to information.
Seller News in the mobile app: updates closer to the seller
Amazon has refreshed the Seller News section in the Amazon Seller app. This change is particularly important for people who manage sales from their phone and want to catch information requiring immediate reaction more quickly.
The new view combines featured and latest news in one place. Filtering articles by date and topic has also been added, as well as the ability to save content for later and integration with Seller Forums. Thanks to this, sellers can not only read the update but immediately check how other users and Amazon experts are commenting on it.
In selling on Amazon, reaction time is often critical. This applies especially to changes in rules, compliance, fees, logistics, or account maintenance. Information that might have previously slipped through in the rush of daily duties is now meant to be more easily accessible from your phone.
This is a small change in the interface, but it can translate into greater operational alertness.

Heavy and bulky products with delivery only where it is profitable
Amazon is introducing the ability to set specific delivery regions for heavy and bulky products. The feature works within updated shipping templates and gives sellers more control over where they actually want to offer delivery for such products.
In practice, this means that the seller can specify selected regions. Customers from outside these areas will not see the offer. This is particularly important for products whose transport is expensive, logistically difficult, or simply risky over long distances.
Amazon still recommends nationwide delivery, as it increases potential sales reach. At the same time, the company recognizes that for large and heavy products, this strategy is not always profitable. Furniture, garden equipment, large appliances, or other goods requiring special logistics can generate high costs.
To use this option, you must fill out the access form on the help page Heavy and Bulky Shipping Template. After receiving confirmation by email, you can go into the shipping settings, select the regions, and save the changes.
Restricting delivery regions can help avoid unprofitable orders, reduce the risk of transport issues, and better align the product offering with the company's logistical capabilities.
Changes to the Amazon Services Europe Business Solutions Agreement: commissions will be calculated differently
From 1 August 2026, Amazon is changing the provisions in the Amazon Services Europe Business Solutions Agreement regarding the calculation of sales commissions. The change applies to Invoice by Amazon orders purchased by Amazon Business EU S.à r.l.
Until now, in such cases, the commission could be calculated based on the sales value including the VAT rate of the country to which the product was shipped. After the change, the basis for calculating the commission will be the Fee Base Amount, and not Sales Proceeds.
This is of the greatest importance in cross-border sales. This refers to situations where a product is listed in one Amazon store, but the buyer is located in a country with a different VAT rate.
Example: a product is listed on Amazon.de for €119 with German VAT at 19%, but the buyer is located in Italy, where VAT is 22%. Currently, the commission can be calculated from the higher value. After the change, it will be calculated from the amount linked to the price in the store where the product was listed. In such a scenario, the fee may decrease. Conversely, it could be different when selling to a country with a lower VAT rate — in that case, the commission may increase.
The change does not cover all order types. Exempted are, among others, orders sold to other Amazon entities and orders with specific promotions, for example, a lightning deal.
For sellers operating cross-border, this is a signal to carefully check their margin. Standardising the rules might simplify billing, but it does not necessarily mean lower costs for everyone. Everything depends on the direction of sales, the buyer's country, the country of listing, and differences in VAT rates.
Continued use of the selling services after 1 August 2026 constitutes acceptance of the new rules.
Summary
The latest updates show two directions of Amazon's actions. Firstly, Amazon wants to make sellers' daily work easier — hence the new Seller Central, better access to Seller News in the app, and more flexible delivery settings for large products. Secondly, Amazon is streamlining its cost model and encouraging the use of its logistics also outside of Amazon.

FAQ - Changes in Seller Central, MCF and Amazon Europe fees 2026
Do the lower MCF fees apply to all sellers?
No. The discount programmes have specific conditions. One of them applies to new FBA users in Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, and the other to selected sellers using or starting to use MCF in a specific way.
How much can be saved on Multi-Channel Fulfillment?
Sellers meeting the conditions can reduce MCF fees by up to 20%. However, the amount of savings depends on the programme, the number of shipments, and whether the seller qualifies for the discount.
Does the new look of Seller Central change any account data or settings?
No. The change primarily concerns the layout of the panel and the way tools are presented. Data, settings, and listings remain unchanged.
Why is Amazon introducing the Action Center?
The Action Center is designed to help sellers find their most urgent tasks more quickly. Consequently, important alerts and actions should not get lost between different sections of Seller Central.
What has changed in Seller News in the mobile app?
Seller News in the Amazon Seller app has gained a clearer view, filtering by topic and date, the ability to save content, and integration with Seller Forums. This makes it easier to quickly check updates and other sellers' reactions.
Who can benefit from the regional delivery settings?
This feature is particularly useful for sellers offering heavy, large, or hard-to-transport products, such as furniture, garden equipment, or large appliances.
Can restricting delivery regions reduce sales?
It may limit the reach of the offer, as customers outside the selected regions will not see it. On the other hand, it can help avoid orders that would be too costly or logistically problematic to fulfill.
What is the change in the Amazon Services Europe Business Solutions Agreement about?
From 1 August 2026, for selected Invoice by Amazon orders, the commission will be calculated based on the Fee Base Amount, and not Sales Proceeds. This may affect cross-border selling costs.
Does the change in commissions always mean lower fees?
No. In some cases, the fee may decrease, and in others, it may increase. Everything depends on the country of listing, the buyer's country, and differences in VAT rates.
