‘Carton Compliance’ fee for Vendor program goes into effect on the 4th of March, 2019

The fee for “Carton Information Compliance” or also called “No Carton Content Label” comes into effect on March 4, 2019. In 2018, suppliers in the Vendor program received information about Non Compliance but it was information only and no fees were charged. This changes from the 4th of March, 2019.

Carton Information Compliance refers to the requirements that each carton sent to Amazon FC should meet. If a carton does not have an appropriate label containing information about the contents of that carton, a fee of EUR 0.05 will be charged for each item sent in that carton. The fee can be applied to each carton in a given ASN.

To avoid charges you must ensure that:

  1. the carton is correctly labelled with the correct 20 digit code (GS1 SSCC or AMZNCC) in text and barcode
  2. the label must contain the ASN/BOL number in text form and preferably in barcode form or a list of POs to which the carton applies
  3. the ASN should contain the same information as normally required on the carton (GS1 SSCC or AMZNCC)
